My Favorite No-Fail Thanksgiving Recipes

Hello my loves!

I hope you are all having a great holiday and enjoying time off to spend with friends and family! I personally love getting to take a few days off and just relax at home with my loved ones. One thing I love to do when I have time is cook. Everyone once in a while, when time allows, I take a while to whip something up in the kitchen for my family to enjoy.

For Thanksgiving, my family usually splits up the work. My mom focuses on making the chicken (my family members aren’t really turkey people), while me and my sister make everything else. I thought it would be nice to share the recipes that I take inspiration from and add some tips for some yummy thanksgiving meals! I’ll be attaching the recipes that I use or base my curation on, and let you know what I do differently!

Garlic Shrimp Alfredo

Who doesn’t love those quick Tasty and Delish videos? This is one of those recipes that worked tremendously for me! It’s a simple way to make a delicious pasta with your own homemade alfredo sauce. For me, when I didn’t have parmesan and mozzarella, I used a 5 Mexican cheese mix and it tasted amazing! Also, if you don’t have chicken broth on hand, I recommend using some of the excess liquid from the shrimp with the spices and herbs you add to use as a quick shrimp broth! It worked great for me the first time I tried this. If you’re using frozen shrimp just make sure its completely defrosted and not still icy, otherwise you’ll have A LOT of excess broth.

Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

This is the recipe we use for the mashed potatoes and gravy, which I usually leave to my sister to make. It always turns out great for us, plus its easy to follow.

Cheesy Garlic Bread

To make our lives a little easier, we cheat a little. Instead of spending all day trying to make bread from scratch, we just turn regular french bread into cheesy garlic bread. We switch it up from time to time, sometimes we just get the amazing Sweet Hawaiian Rolls, and sometimes we make this garlic bread. We’ve used different cheeses before and its worked as well, so it depends on your preference.

Chocolate Mousse Pie

If you’re not a pumpkin, pecan, or apple pie type of person, this pie is a great substitute. This is the pie my family LOVES every thanksgiving. Its super duper easy and requires NO baking! I always get a pre-made Oreo crust from the grocery store and just go in with the mousse!

Garlic Roasted Potatoes

This may be my favorite dish every Thanksgiving. And this SeriousEats video just made everything so much easier! This makes the most amazing roasted potatoes, so crunchy on the outside but soft and moist in the center! Be aware though, these potatoes have to bake for a WHILE. So prioritize your time when starting to cook! But this is an amazing no fail recipe and the video is so simple to follow step by step!

I really hope you guys will try some of my favorite recipes for Thanksgiving. This is obviously just what my family eats and likes so the possibilities are endless! All credit for the recipes go to all the owners and creators. The links will take you straight to their pages with the original recipes and instructions!

I wish you all a very warm and happy Thanksgiving! I’m so thankful to be where I am, with the people I love, in a place in my life where I’m so happy! I love you all and I’ll see you super super soon!

xoxo,

Rija
