Just a little insight on who I am…

My name is Rija Arif! I’m a college student who’s passions include anything beauty related, fashion, expressing myself and exploring the world! I’m taking life one step at a time and I’m so excited to embark on this venture.

Makeup is such an important aspect in my life. My fascination with all things beauty including hair, makeup, etc. has been growing since I was a little girl. Growing up with 3 sisters, I was definitely influenced greatly by them and was inclined to learn these things myself. Makeup has become more than a liking to me. It’s become a job, an outlet, a hobby, a passion, and a way to express myself. I whole heartedly feel as though makeup allows a person to transform, to create something in itself. Makeup is an art, and it’s the only art I love to this extent. The power of makeup is such an incredible thing, and that in no way means that a bare face is any less beautiful. I can leave my house with no makeup, and I do a lot of the time, but makeup is what I love. I don’t wear makeup for anybody, I don’t wear it to impress anybody, I don’t wear it to cover myself and hide away. I wear it for myself. Because I enjoy it, because I love it.

This blog is something I have been working on for the past year or so. I really wanted to find an outlet where I could share all my thoughts, ideas, and opinions, and it’s finally here! I can’t wait to see what lies ahead in the future and I’m ecstatic that you guys are here to join me on the path.
